Package arrived later than promised by a week? Pears did not ripened in ten days sitting out and we were leaving. Per instruction, after ripening pears will last in refrigerator for up to ten days. We are gone for a month. Had the package arrived on time, we could have enjoyed the content, although the pears received are the hard type with grainy flavor, totally undedible. What a waste!

I sent this to a sick friend, just out of the hospital, who happens to be diabetic. He loved the fresh fruit, exclaiming he had never had a better pear, and the cheese was fantastic!
Even though I was across the country,I was so glad I could take credit for making him happy!

This was a mother's day present for my Mom and Grandma, who were vacationing during mother's day. Their hotel had it for them. My grandma was skeptical about pears, for it's been so long since you can buy a good pear at a grocery store, but she was very pleasantly surprised. The pears were so delicious, she said, and so juicy. They were just perfect. The nuts and cheese made for a nice well rounded gift basket, all of which can be easily eaten in a hotel.
