My Mother got this basket before Mother's Day and she has been raving about it ever since! She's elderly and has trouble to grocery shop and carry things, as well as on a fruit and something diet, so she went wild over the fruits! They were just what she wanted!! And she said that they were delicious! Now that she has finished the fruit, she is raving about the picnic basket, how lovely that is!! You should add more fruit baskets!!! They are a BIG HIT in our family.

I purchased two of these baskets for mother's day, one for my mom and the other for my older sister as they both LOVE tropical fruits. My sister liked her basket ok enough, but thought the small amount of fruits wasn't worth the money she suspects that I spent. Her fruit was ripe, and her kids enjoyed it as well. My mother on the other hand didn't like her basket at all. I saw the basket myself and the banana's came battered and bruised, the pineapple was spoiled when we cut into it and she ended up throwing it away, and the lime (why a lime??) was dried up. The pears were great, as was the avocado. The apple and mango were ok, but nothing to rave over. It is not "full to the brim" as the description implies, but rather filled with ALOT of stuffing and a handful of fruits. It wasn't worth the price as I could have easily bought the same items at my local organic market for far less. One thing they both agree on is that they love the actual picnic basket (I guess that what cost so much)! It's cute and traditional and inspired us to have a picnic next weekend!
I have purchased a different fruit basket from Harry & David in the past and the recipient wasn't crazy about it, but I figured I would give it another shot...never again. I did love their moose munch and that may be the only purchase I ever make from this place in the future. Very disappointed...

THIS WAS TRULY A DIFFERENT GIFT AND WAS WELL RECEIVED BY BOTH PERSONS THAT I SENT IT TO. I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO BREAK DOWN AND ORDER ONE FOR MYSELF. IN ALL OF THE ORDERS THAT I HAVE SENT THROUGH THE YEARS, I'VE NEVER HAD ONE PERSON THAT HASN'T BEEN COMPLETELY SATISFIED. JUST KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND I'LL KEEP ORDERING.
