Pasta with Sausage

Ingredients: Directions:
1 medium onion, diced
2 Tbsp. Harry and David® Olive Oil
1 lb Italian Style pork sausage
1 jar Harry & David® Basil and Garlic Pasta Sauce
2 packages Harry & David® Basil Oregano Pasta
2 Tbsp. salt
2 oz Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated
  1. Heat a large skillet on medium heat with 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
  2. Sauté the onions until soft. Add sausage, broken up, and sauté for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
  3. Add Harry & David® Basil and Garlic Pasta Sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Over high heat, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  5. Add 1 Tbsp. olive oil and 2 Tbsp. salt.
  6. Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package of Harry and David® pasta.
  7. Drain pasta well in a colander.
  8. Return to the pan and add most of the grated cheese and most of the sauce.
  9. Toss well to thoroughly combine the pasta, sauce and cheese.
  10. Divide the pasta among 6 plates, top with a little more sauce, and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
