    I sent this Crater Lake Gift Basket Deluxe to my sister and her family of 6. It seemed to contain a variety of treats that they would enjoy. She mailed a note to me the following day rejoicing in the gift. She said it was the center of attention for most of the evening. The truffles were the first opened and enjoyed. The pears were delicious, the moose munch already gone. If all the pears had been perfectly ripe, I believe they would have been gone within one day as well.

    While the items in the basket were tasty, given the photos online and description of the basket I was expecting something much larger than what was delivered. I wouldn't order this item again. I had this delivered as a thank you gift when we stayed with some relatives and I feel a little embarassed at the basket's small size.

        I received this product as a gift basket, and it was both beautiful and delicious. It contains all of my favorite products. The pears are wonderful. My only suggestion is not to mail this at a time that includes a weekend, as that is too long for the pears to sit at the post office. Mine arrived very soft - and since there are nine of them in the basket, I didn't get to enjoy all of them.

        Service and delivery comments:

        This was a gift, but it sat at the post office over a weekend - the pears arrived ready to eat but didn't last more than a day after it was delivered. Too bad as the ones I did have/share were very good.

            Family received the basket the week before Thanksgiving. They called to say how impressed they were with the variety of items, and were enjoying them.
            The only thing left on Thanksgiving was the basket - it was so beautiful they used it to serve the rolls!!

                      The gift basket was for mother's 85th birthday and she was delighted with the presentation, the quality, and the assortment.

                      Service and delivery comments:

                      The gift basket was supposed to arrive on August 14 (my mother's 85th birthday). I received an e-mail confirming that it would arrive on August 14 and I called and verified it would arrive on August 14. It did not arrive until August 16 and was delivered to the wrong address. It was delivered one street over and the people at the address brought it over 8 hours after it had been delivered. I called and was credited for the shipping charges. Overall I was very pleased with the basket, pleased with service I received on the phone, but disappointed in the delivery.

                      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                            The Creekside Basket always ships with pears that are in season, fresh and ready to enjoy. Our world famous Royal Riviera Pears ship with this gift from the fall until approximately early summer. After that time we send our Premium Pears, including the best Taylor's Gold or Bosc Pears. As for the truffles, those ship with this item during the cooler months. During the summer the basket ships with less perishable candy such as our licorice twists. You can always view the Contents tab for the most current list of items for this or any gift.
