When Harry and David first moved down to Medford to grow pears, they loved to spend their weekends exploring the Applegate, a beautiful valley not too far from Medford in Southern Oregon.     Harry & David pears are by far the juiciest and most delicious pears I've ever had! This basket was sent to me as a Christmas gift from my father - who sends us something from Harry & David each year. We really look forward to these every year. This basket is a perfect size for 2 of us. the pears are ready to eat and the apples are wonderful! the granola is top notch and is wonderful sprinkled in vanilla yogurt - but I'm sure it would work great with milk too.

    the dried fruit is probably my least favorite in the basket but it is still good and great to have as a small snack between meals to curb hunger.

    The basket that it comes in is pretty big and can be used for many other purposes once you've finished off the goodies inside.

    If you're looking for a good gift, this is certainly a winner as it is for us!

    Received as a gift. The pears were good while the apples were not crisp or flavorful. The product description is a bit misleading. The assorted extras were an odd mix--a small bag of almonds, an even smaller cellophane bag of dried fruit and a nice bag of granola.
    This gift basket resembled something from your grocer's specialty section rather than Harry & David, with the exception of the wonderful pears.
    As serious H & D customers, this is the only product that was disappointing.

            This was a sympathy gift it took more than a week to arrive. Receipent is pleased with content and is going to use the basket to hold her daily morning reading material. Bible etc. Had better delivery from edible arrangements,good, but none can beat the Harry adnd David pears.

                  My Mother called me thanking me for the gift basket, then went on telling me how great the canvas covered basket; explained it was the best thing she received; that she is using it to hold all her hand-towels in guess bathroom. That is an amazing comment from my mother, who rarely comments on gifts at all, other than she is thankful for the thought.

                  I send my mother Harry & David Fruit Baskets for most holidays, as she likes the small quantity baskets, as she lives alone, and she can eat all the fruit before it goes bad, than with larger baskets.
