We were sent this gift basket when my mother-in-law passed away. It was a huge help to have these delicious snack foods available during a time when everyone was so busy. We could grab a cracker and some cheese or a piece of fruit and move on to the next thing that needed doing. A true blessing for this large family!

      This "basket" looked nothing like the picture when it arrived. The wicker basket is NOT the same as appears in picture, not even close. Actual basket looks like a dollar store piece of junk. In the description, it states there are 6 pieces of fruit. The person I sent it to took a picture of the basket upon arrival and there were only 3 pieces of fruit. Looked very cheap. I was very embarrassed after seeing the actual basket. I couldn't have been more disappointed. Lesson learned. I will never use Harry and David's again. I'd rate this ZERO stars if I could. Calling customer service next to complain.

      Very disappointed in the amount of time that it took for this sympathy basket to arrive. I ordered on 2/26, but it my family did not receive until 3/8. Will not be using Harry and David again.

          Carol, at this time our Sympathy Basket Classic is $9.95 for standard shipping. You can choose epress shipping options if needed on Step 2 of the check out process if you need your item sooner then what we can promise for the standard shipping rate. Our website provides the arrival date rather than shipping date when you are placing your order. Our system runs a check against available inventory to determine when we will be able to ship the item, and calculates the arrival date on that basis. If the item is currently in stock and ordered before 10:00 AM Pacific time, typically it will ship the same day and arrive within 5 business days. If ordered after 10:00 AM it will ship the next business day. If the item is in production but not available for immediate shipment, our website bases delivery on the projected availability date for the item.
