Recipient liked that cookies were individually wrapped. They were nice looking and tasty. They were shared with folks living in a small retirement home, so I chose only cookies with no nuts - there was still plenty of variety and a colorful appearance.
Due to previous problems with staff and recipient not being able to comprehend the complex exterior computer labels and message, I paid 4 bucks for a card. That is a ridiculous price for a card H&D does not even hand-write. A card should be an inclusive part of any H&D gift, that is part of the whole package. H&D prices are high and so is shipping. $4 to send a greeing that should be included is my only pet peeve with this service.

I hated to only give 3 stars (because it was a matter of personal taste), but I kind of had to; because I had ordered cookies that I KNEW that I liked. If they weren't so expensive, they would have gotten 5 stars. After that, they would have gotten 4 stars, except I didn't care much for them. I LOVE peanut butter cookies, and I LOVE chocolate frosting, and I LOVE peanut butter cookies wih chocolate frosting! That is why I ordered EIGHTEEN of them. They didn't taste BAD, they just weren't as good as I expected. The double chocolate (I ordered two), I didn't like AT ALL (which surprised me). The Macademia (two) was OKAY. The Snickerdoodle (two) (now THIS one surprised me, because of the four different cookies I ordered, snickerdoodle was my LEAST favourite!) was GOOD! Just be aware, that everyone has their own idea of what a "good recipe" is. Now, that all said...the PACKAGING was EXEMPLARY! The box was packed like there was a GLASS product inside! KUDOS for PACKAGING! The "gift box" inside was very attractive and also well packed with "grass" (although personally I don't like "grass"...too messy) and was arranged VERY nicely. The cookies are INDIVIDUALLY wrapped which is a HUMONGOUS plus!!! It's a little too expensive if you are buying it for yourself; but even after all I said above; it STILL makes a GREAT gift!
