PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Thrill the most discerning diner with Lobster Pot Pie. We began with our classic homestyle pot pie recipe and added succulent chunks of coldwater lobster, sweet corn, and potato. It's finished with a sherry cream sauce touched with a hint of cayenne. The delectable filling bakes in a buttery, hand-crimped crust for a beautiful gourmet entrée.

The Lobster Pot Pie is a special treat during Christmas season after a day of writing out cards, wrapping presents and doing last minute shopping! It's a present "To Me - From Me." Like H&R's Chicken Pot Pie...it is wonderful to have on hand for those "I don't feel like cooking" days.

Comments about Harry & David Lobster Pot Pie:

I sent the Lobster Pot Pie as a gift. Being from Maine, and loving lobster, this had to be excellent to be "good." And it was! The recipients loved it, said it was FULL of big chunks of lobster, and the sauce and crust were also delicious.

              Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was ecxellent! I had no idea how this was going to work since it was being sent to Arizona, and would have to sit in a "package box" before being picked up, temps were about 85. The delivery time was right on, and they recieived a message that the pie was in their box. It was packed in dry ice, styrofoam, and still completely frozen hard when they picked it up after several hours. They put it directly into their freezer, and ate it a few days later.
Excellent packaging, and excellent delivery arrangements.

I was happily surprised at the the short delivery time. The pie arrived still frozen, and since I had never experienced a delivery in dry ice, I appreciated the instructions on how to handle and dispose of the ice. The pie was heavenly: succulent pieces of lobster, wonderful creamy sauce, and a flaky crust that was perfect. I ordered a second pie which I will keep frozen and share with my daughter and my sister when they arrive for a visit.

                          A:

nzuts -- the best way to reheat the pot pie is in the oven. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, and heat until it's at the desired temperature. Note: Since you have already cooked the pot pie to an internal temperature of 165 degrees to begin with, it is not necessary to do so again when reheating.

                          A:

To prepare your Lobster Pot Pie, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Remove pot pie from box and wrapper and place on baking sheet. Brush top and edges lightly with an egg wash or milk. Bake on center oven rack for 60-80 minutes or until golden brown. As oven temperatures vary, you may need to adjust the cooking time for your oven. We advise not to prepare in the pie in a microwave or toaster oven.

For food safety and quality, follow these cooking instructions to ensure that product reaches an internal temperature of 165 F as measured by a food thermometer

Both our Quiches and Pot Pies are shipped frozen with ice packs to ensure they arrive cold. Our Quiches are pre-cooked, and can be heated or served cold. The Lobster Pot Pie is not pre-cooked and must be baked in an oven for 60-80 minutes at 375 degrees to reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
