    Sent this ham to my father for a Father's Day gift. He loved it! My parents love Harry and David. It is a company that stands for high quality products that are sure to please. I was concerned because there have been a couple of poor reviews of this product, but Harry and David has never disappointed me over the last decade I have been sending thieir gifts! It is my favorite gift company!

    I purchased this ham for our Christmas dinner this year. I am not a ham fan because of how fatty it normally is. I stumbled upon this ham in my Harry and David catalog and decided to purchase it based off the description, "The delicate, sweet flavor results from extra leanness, making this dish a hit at dinner parties and special events." The extra leaness is where they got me. They could not be more wrong. This ham was SO fatty...it was worse than a $20 ham I would have bought at the grocery store. Just awful! What a waste of money!

        We have enjoyed this ham at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. We are purchasing it today to have for our Easter dinner.
        The leftover pieces and the bone itself are great for making Navy bean soup.
        I cannot understand the negative reviews -- the only reason I can imagine is that the ham was overcooked.

          My order arrived safely packaged, and in great condition-nice and cold. It thawed in the refrigerator by the time I needed it the next day. The instructions for heating were so easy to follow, and it resulted in the most delicious ham I have ever had- and that is saying alot I know! The glaze was optional, but I added it as the last step, and it was so tasty too! I took this as another "dish" to add to a Thanksgiving get-together at my niece's home, and everyone raved at how delicious it was, and I wished I could have taken credit for it, but I did take credit for knowing where to buy it, and I was sure to tell them!

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I wanted to get a ham for Thanksgiving gathering. I did a Google search for the best ham to purchase The Harry and David ham came up as the top choice so I decided to go with it. This ham was truly the best ham that anyone at the table had ever tasted!

              This is the second time ordering. Sent this ham to my parents in November as a gift my mom who is not fond of ham said it was very tasty and easy to prepare. Everyone loved it so much that there was no leftovers. She asked me to order another one it was so good. I know I will be ordering 2 more soon. One for me and another for mom.

              I have been getting Harry and David spiral hams for holiday dinners for 3 years now and simply would not purchase any other. The meat is tender, very flavorful, and falls right off the bone - so easy to serve! I later use the meaty bone to make split pea soup, which is a family favorite. Harry and David provides a wonderful glaze package for the ham which amps up the flavor. Guests consistently tell me it is the best ham they ever had. I buy the spiral sliced ham and I would say it comfortably serves 12-14, with leftovers (a must for sandwich lovers!), but I also serve other foods with the ham. Try it and judge for yourself.

              Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              Thanks for making me look like the best gift-giver ever! I sent this ham to my best friend as a combination birthday/Easter gift. She told me this was the best ham they ever had! It literally melted in their mouths! The flavor was amazing, and they said they'd never had a ham that could even come close!
              Now I have a "go-to gift" that is just a simple call or online order away!

                  Our Spiral Sliced Ham is delivered with Express shipping by FedEx. If the recipient is not home, the ham will be left at a safe location at the residence so that the recipient can retrieve it when they return home.

                  Our Spiral Sliced Ham ships frozen with gel packs. If the ham in this gift arrives no longer frozen but is cold to the touch with ice crystals present, then it is safe to eat. Refrigertae upon arrival.

                  Ron, you can refrigerate the ham for up to a week or freeze for up to 6 months. To heat in a conventional oven, you will cook it at 350 for 8 minutes per pound, so about an hour. You could also microwave it for about 5 minutes per pound.
