The Rogue Valley is a great place to live. The weather is awesome, the people are lovely and we've got some amazing local artisan food. Like cheese from the Rogue Creamery. You might find a Harry & David employee or two roaming their cheese shop at lunch, since it's just down the road. And since their cheese is so good. They got started making cheese in the Rogue Valley around the same time Harry and David started growing our Royal Riviera® Pears. Two of the oldest businesses around. It's lucky our products go so well together.

    This gift arrived with pears well past their prime but Harry and David quickly replaced them.

    I have already contacted Harry and David about my disappointment with my purchase, although I have not heard back from you. There was spoiled fruit in the box I ordered. Your items are too expensive to have any spoiled fruit, and then not get a response back from customer service after my last response....not pleased with the customer service at this time. Will think twice before ordering again wth you. Not because of the spoiled fruit, but because of your failure to follow through after you made aware.

      The product itself was great - obviously a bit expensive, but still a unique gift. The pears were all ripe or just under-ripe, and the cheeses are a good size. My only issue is that I purchased this for Valentine's Day (using a valentine's day promo code, with v-day awareness plastered all over the site) and instead of arriving on Valentine's day or even the day before, it arrived 2 days before. So much for a surprise.

      We live in Arizona; so much like southern Calif we enjoy warm/hot weather year-round. Our last shipment (Fruit & cheeses) arrived without chill-packs, which, according to the cheese maker themselves is unacceptable. We ordered this gift as a replacement, which is a very nice gift. The pears were large and juicy and the presentation was beautiful as usual. Sadly… this gift -also- arrived without ice or chill packs, even after expressing a concern. Depending on your delivery area, you may want to consider a less perishable item.

        This is a lovely gift that's always appreciated. I understand the cheese is just wonderful. However, for the high price, you would expect the fruit to be perfect, and they had to cut out sections of brown pear. That's not acceptable for this price.

        Blue cheese and pears are a terrific combination. I've had other pears from Harry & David that were excellent. These were not. The blue cheese was excellent and the wedges were bigger than I expected. Add a good Amish blue cheese to make the sampling perfect.
