Ask anyone around here and they'll tell you they make sure to stock up on these sweet and savory snacks before heading up to the lake. I just bought this gift as a Mother's Day present and had it shipped this week. I chose this basket because the pears are her favorite. There were supposed to be 6 pears among the basket, but only 2 pears were actually in there. I think that the value for all items overall is good, and Harry&David products are wonderful, but such a pity that the best part was cut from her gift basket and I feel bad. Very disappointed!!!

          My husband received this as a gift for his retirement from the Navy. We enjoyed it so much we sent it as a Mother's Day gift for my Mom. Everyone LOVES it. Pears are as juicy as can be. If you have not tried the relish - it is to die for! Love the variety of food and the beautiful basket too.

            I sent two of these to family members for Easter. They all loved the basket. My son in the army ate the entire jar of relish with the pepper crackers . My mom and dad loved the pears. And the honey crisp apples are wonderful.

                        Wheezy, at this time we include 2 lb 14 oz of pears in our Crater Lake Gift Basket Classic. As pear sizes vary, it will usually take 6 pears to make this weight but sometimes will take more or less depending on the size of the pear.

                        Ron, our website provides the arrival date rather than shipping date when you are placing your order. Our system runs a check against available inventory to determine when we will be able to ship the item, and calculates the arrival date on that basis. If the item is currently in stock and ordered before 10:00 AM Pacific time, typically it will ship the same day and arrive within 5-7 business days. If ordered after 10:00 AM it will ship the next business day. If the item is in production but not available for immediate shipment, our website bases delivery on the projected availability date for the item. Standard shipping only provides an arrive by date, so your gift could arrive sooner.
                        On Step 2 of the checkout process, after you enter you enter your recipient's address, you can choose the arrive by date which includes express shipping options. Only overnight shipping will ensure a specific delivery date.

                        Currently we are unable to customize our Gift Baskets and Towers. During the warm Summer months we do substitute our Bing Cherry Chocolates for Candy selections that are less temperature-sensitive. Beggining in early Fall these selections will revert back to our normal Chocolate items.
