          The recipient was delighted with this hugh basket. Before I sent it, I had read in a review that the pears were buried under other things and were not found until they were very soft. I was talking to the recipient and mentioned how delicious the pears are and she said "what pears". I told her to look under other things and she found them. Things that are perishable should be right on top or there should be a note on top of the basket telling the person to look under things for the perishable items. In this case, the recipient had not taken the basket all apart, but was eating things on top first.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

              I received this basket from my brother and sister-in-law last week and the family and I are still enjoying it. What an awesome basket! Everything has been delicious and very fresh. I only wish that there were different fruits instead of all pears. Pears are okay, just not my first pick in the fruit department. I am writing this review because I found my way to the website so that I can order the same basket for my son and his wife.

              Though I did not see it, daughter and granddaughter sent me photos. They were excited and pleased with the contents. One point they mentioned was they did not realize there were fresh pears in the bottom of of the package and they were almost too ripe when they finally worked their way down through the gift. I was most grateful for your Customer Service sending a second gift when the first arrived a week earlier than I wanted it there. There was a mixup with your e-mail receptions and delivery department. My e-mail with instructions did not get through in time to hold the process back. Thank you for your consideration.

                  Highly perishable products such as our Cheesecakes are shipped with gel ice packs and insulated containers. This particular basket is shipped without ice packs, as it is very rare for the products to melt during transit. All of our shipments are guaranteed 100% - if anything melts or is damaged upon arrival, we will replace it without question.
