Everyone was excited to receive the big box full of treats but the pears were not good. They were rotten inside. So I had to contact everyone to make sure theirs were good as it was an expensive assortment.
It is wasting a lot of time contacting everyone and then contacting harry and david. who are willing to send new pears but I sure hope they are good. I am still waiting to hear from 3 of the recipients so this will drag on for awhile. After 40 years of orders with Harry and David I tried a new company and have found the recipients loved their product. This has been a family tradition for many years but it seems like the quality the last few years is not what it used to be. It is sad to stop the tradition but Im not sure I would order from them again.

      I sent this basket to my Mother for Thanksgiving since I could not make it home. She loved every detail from the basket to each individual item, the overall presentation and quality. It brought her much joy and enjoyment and the same for me during a time when I wish to have been home.

      The delivery was perfectly accomplished the day before Thanksgiving as promised. Could not have worked out any better!

      This was a gift to my son. He was excited about the quantity but not the quality. The pears were good of course, but most of the rest was only mediocre. He said the baklava was awful. He threw it away after one taste.

          Here are some detailed instructions for the Ham as well as the Cheesecake:

          Ham/Cheesecake:
          Refrigerate upon arrival (up to one week). Leave refrigerated until ready to serve, or refreeze if not planning to enjoy within the next week. May be frozen for up to 6 months without any loss of taste or texture. If frozen more than 6 months, taste will still be the same, but texture will have changed significantly.
          Cheesecake:
          Serve frozen or chilled as desired.
          Ham Thawing:
          No hurry: Leave in bag; place on tray in refrigerator for approximately 4 hours per lb.
          Faster: Leave in bag; place in sink and cover with cold water for approximately 1/2 hour per lb.
          Microwave: Remove bag and plastic mesh; place in microwave-safe dish; heat on medium (50%) power approximately 5 minutes per lb, turning over once halfway through time; let stand 10 minutes to finish thawing.
          Ham Heating:
          Though this product is already fully cooked, many people prefer to serve it warm.
          Conventional Oven: Remove bag and plastic mesh; place in roasting pan and completely cover with foil; heat in 350° oven for approximately 8 minutes per lb, or until a meat thermometer shows an internal temperature of 140° to 150°. (Due to variations in ovens, heating time and/or temperature may require adjustment.)
          Microwave: Remove bag and plastic mesh; place in microwave-safe dish; heat on medium-high (70%) power approximately 5 minutes per lb, or until a meat thermometer shows an internal temperature of 140° to 150°.
          TO MAKE GLAZE: Microwave glaze packet on HIGH (100% power) for 15 to 20 seconds. Cut corner off packet and squeeze evenly over top of meat. If desired, use knife to spread glaze between slices. Place glazed meat in oven, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Remove from oven; allow to stand covered 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 140° F.
