I am glad I chosose this one over the variety, simple seems to be a winning choice. H & D did a superb job in terms of the delivery, it arrived a day early. I couldn't be more satisfied.

    I was a long time buyer of Harry's Original Cheesecake and felt it was the best I'd ever eaten, simply perfect. However, for various reasons I decided not to buy any for a few years, but returned this November with a purchase. And was I ever disappointed. Harry's Original Cheesecake is not, repeat NOT, Harry's Original Cheesecake. The crust appears to be much thicker and the cake itself simply doesn't compare to what it used to be; I threw away half of it because I simply couldn't justify all that cholesterol for a sub-par dessert. I expect some numbers crunchers have decided to reduce the cost of the ingredients in the cooking of the cheesecake but who knows? I would love to know what recipe changes have been made in the cheesecake. In any event, don't expect a cake like you used to buy.

                The cheesecake was sent to me as a gift after I raved on and on about how much I have enjoyed them through the years. As usual, it was the perfect delight that I have always enjoyed. I have learned to savor this superb treat and make it last as long as I can. I can say that the cheesecake is as good as ever and my taste buds have thanked me over and over again as I savor my way through it. I am now going to order one for the freezer as I am hooked for life. Now if Harry and David could figure out how to get the great taste and lose the calories I'd be a really happy camper. I will and have recommended Harry and David not only for the cheesecakes, but their other offerings as well. Anything they send is always a welcome gift.

                              Our Signature Cheesecake serves 12 and should be stored in the refrigerator upon arrival, or frozen and saved for a later date. The cake will store in the freezer for about 4 months without loss of flavor or texture. It does not ship with the decorative topping shown, as that is just an idea for a possible presentation.

                              After thawing, store any remaining Cheesecake in the refrigerator for up to one week. It may ay be frozen for up to 4 months without any loss of taste or texture.

                              That's an excellent question. If the cheesecake is frozen solid, it will take 2 to 4 hours to defrost in a refrigerator. Since cheesecake needs to be kept cool, it is always best to let it thaw in a refrigerator. We ship our cheesecakes frozen. When the cheesecake arrives, it may be partially or completely thawed (but still cold to the touch), and should be placed in the refrigerator if you don't plan to enjoy it immediately.
