I ordered this chicken pot pie for the first time this year. I must say I was disappointed in it. I rarely am disappointed with the items I order from H&D, but this was one of those rare moments.

The crust was very good, probably the best thing about the pie. There was not alot of chicken in the pie, there was alot of large pieces of potato, carrots, celery and assorted other veggies.

I ordered a Chicken Pie a couple of years ago from H&D and it was fantastic! It was filled with wonderful breast meat as the gravy was fantastic. It was made by the Centerville Pie Company. I hope H&D brings that Chicken Pie back for next year!

On the other hand the Chicken Pot Pie is not something I would order again. If it was not for the crust, the pie would be no better than a grocery store chicken pot pie!

    I sent this to my brother and his family to help out with dinner for one night after his wife's mother passed away. They were very appreciative and raved how good the chicken pot pie was. The meal arrived on time and was very easy to heat up and serve. Since my brother and his family enjoyed this meal, I ordered another to be sent to my father!

      We like to send gift packages to family in Florida, and I always keep an eye out for sugar free gifts. When I heard that the chicken pot pie was so good, I sent that to our grandparents for their birthday. They were thrilled that we thought of them, and very happy to have an easy dinner.

        I did not care much for the previous chicken pies they had, but I love these pies! I buy them regularly from the Harry and David store in my area and share them with family and friends. The pie has just the right mix of tender white meat and vegetables, and the crust is flaky and savory. I am a big fan of sage, and I adore the flavor it imparts to the pie.

          My mother raved about this chicken pot pie! Sent this for a birthday gift as she loves homemade chicken pot pie, but not the time it requires to make it from scratch. Was a little concerned sending it due to some of the negative reviews, but she was genuinely thrilled with the quality and said it was fantastic! Since we live a thousand miles apart, I am unable to pop in with my own home cooking, so this was the next best thing!

            it was on sale so I wanted to see what the hype was about.......don't get it?? The pie was ok to good, but definitely not great, like others reviewed. I make an easy canned veggie recipe that's much more flavorful than this. In my single serving there was only one pretty good sized chunk of chicken - that's it, the other 3 servings were exactly the same. I think they may only use one good size chicken breast.? The veggies, however, do taste fresh. I would NOT purchase this again, MUCH cheaper to make own!

            bring back Centerville all white meat

            I will not purchase another chicken pie from HD. I HAVE purchased these chicken pies in the past-pricey, yes, but fantastic. They were made differently...no potatoes, carrots, or peas - JUST ALL WONDERFUL MEAT.
            I THINK H & D NEEDS TO BRING BACK THE OLD PIES, THESE PIES ARE NOT MAKING THE GRADE.
            Most of the time you can count on H & D to be
            expensive but very very good. Too bad they had to change a good thing.

            Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
