Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 4 muffins

Ingredients:

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring

Vampire Fangs

  • Mini marshmallows
  • Toothpicks or Candy sticks

Instructions:

For the cream cheese frosting

  • Combine cream cheese and butter in a bowl and beat with a hand mixer until light and fluffy (alternatively you can mix them in a stand mixer with the paddle attachment).
  • Once the mixture is fluffy and combined, add in vanilla, followed by powdered sugar in ½ cup increments.
  • Add in the red food coloring last and mix until it reaches the shade you want. Alternatively, you can just mix some red food coloring into whipped cream cheese for a low sugar version of this recipe.

Assembling the muffins

  • Toast English muffins and cut each half in half down the middle to form two half moons.
  • Spread some frosting on each half. On one half, line mini marshmallows around the edge.
  • On the second half stick in the fangs which can be either mini marshmallows on toothpicks or candy sticks. Shape them a little bit to look like fangs.
  • Sandwich the two half moons together to form a vampire mouth. Eat immediately!
