Honey mangoes are also known as Ataulfo mangoes. They aren't as big as the normal mangoes you can find at the grocery store. But what they lack in size, they make up for in taste and texture. Their flesh is buttery and sweet. And unlike other mangoes, a honey mango's flesh is not stringy and fibrous. Its pit is also much smaller than most mangoes. So you don't get more pit than fruit. That's the worst. Their skin is a golden yellow and high in sugar. Not that you eat the skin. But it won't have the normal bitter taste to it if you accidentally get a bit in your bite. These mangoes are rare and delicious. Once you taste them, you might not be able to go back to the grocery store.
