Our series โ€œGet Crafty” gives you the inspiration for creating inventive DIY projects during the holidays and year-round. Entertaining little ones on Christmas morning is easy with these holiday snacks and Christmas crafts for kids. Just set out fun Christmas printables, plus goodies like Moose Munch and Christmas cookies for snacking on.

When I was a kid, we opened our presents on Christmas Eve. Before we could unwrap anything, though, we all had to eat dinner as a family at my grandma’s. Having to wait until after the meal to find out what Santa had brought us was torture.

This year, when I host our Christmas brunch, I’m making sure the kids have easy Christmas crafts, holiday snacks, and hot cocoa to keep them busy โ€” in case all those toys don’t occupy their time.

Make sure all the activities and snacks are set out and ready for the kids. For activities, these cute Harry & David printables are perfect for the season. The older ones can challenge themselves with the word search, while kids of all ages can color their way to the North Pole with Santa and his reindeer. For snacks, we’re talking holiday Moose MunchChristmas cookies and holiday grahams, waffles and cakes, and peppermint bark. And don’t forget the hot cocoa topped with whipped cream. A beautiful flower centerpiece completes this tablescape.

Now that the kids are happy with snacks and crafts, the adults can sit down to talk and enjoy brunch. You may even want to sneak some of the kids’ delicious snacks. Or you can enjoy some potable treats of your own, such as this festive spiced pear Bellini.
