In June and July, we will be shipping cherries grown in Washington and DulceVida nectarines from California.
That long-awaited summer sun is finally back, and so are our irresistible cherries! Incredibly sweet and juicy with a delightfully crisp bite, cherries are chock-full of potassium, vitamin C, and antioxidants. There are two main types of cherries that are produced in the United States: sweet and tart “sour” cherries. Most sweet cherries, such as the heart-shaped Bing, the bright-red Lambert, and the gold-toned Rainier, are grown in California, Washington, and Oregon. No matter what variety you like best, cherries are the perfect complement to your favorite summer dishes and desserts—like a plump cherry pie or the cherry on top of an ice cream sundae.

We have now moved past bloom, and all early indications are that our bees did a good job of pollinating. Our orchardists are thinning peaches and pears to encourage larger fruit at harvest. They are also busy with our irrigation system and fertilizing, ensuring that the trees get just the right amount of water and nutrients.
Our featured vegetable for July is the Haas avocado grown in California. We will also ship shiitake mushrooms and sugar snap peas grown in California as well as white asparagus grown in Peru.
We are currently shipping Comice pears grown in Chile, Angélys pears grown in New Zealand, and Bartlett pears grown in Chile and Argentina.
We will be shipping Cosmic Crisp apples grown in Washington and EverCrisp and Ambrosia apples grown in Michigan.
