Starting in the winter, our dedicated team prunes more than 700,000 trees by hand, creating light and space for the pears to grow.

Our teams are on frost patrol 24/7 and use special systems to heat the orchards, protecting the trees and their fragile buds from unpredictable spring temperatures.

BRING IN THE BEES

In early April, we work with local beekeepers and set up hives around the orchards to help pollinate the flowers.

A CAREFUL WATCH

As the trees leaf out, teams walk through the orchards daily checking each tree and ensuring their overall health.

READY, SET, HARVEST!

We wait until our pears have just the right sugar content, but once it’s time to harvest our crop, teams hand-pick pears for four solid weeks.
